Case Study — B2B Professional Services Firm (UK)
A mid-size professional services firm based in the UK came to us with a website that was generating negligible organic traffic despite three years in operation. Their existing site had been built by a generalist agency, presented well visually, and had never been optimised for search intent, Core Web Vitals, or structured content architecture. The client's primary commercial goal was to generate qualified inbound enquiries from decision-makers at companies in their target sector — a goal the existing site was systematically failing to achieve.
Discovery revealed three compounding problems: the site scored poorly on Core Web Vitals (LCP of 4.8 seconds on mobile), had no structured internal linking between service pages and blog content, and had been built without any keyword research underlying the page architecture. The homepage targeted a broad generic term with high competition and low commercial intent; the pages that prospective clients would actually search for did not exist.
We rebuilt the site on Next.js with a headless WordPress CMS. The rebuild targeted LCP under 2.0 seconds on mobile and scored 97/100 on PageSpeed Insights at launch. We restructured the page hierarchy around a keyword research map built from 180 hours of Search Console data analysis and competitor gap research. We implemented FAQPage and Service schema markup across all service pages, and deployed a content cluster strategy — one pillar page per core service, supported by four to six cluster articles per pillar.
